Jr. Kindergarten Class
The main focus of our Jr. Kindergarten program is providing students with the educational and social skills to excel in Kindergarten. In the morning, Jr. Kindergarten students will learn and play alongside students in the 4’s class. After the 4’s class session concludes, the Jr. Kindergartners will eat packed lunches and chat with their friends. In the afternoon, the Jr. Kindergarteners will participate in more advanced writing, math, and problem-solving activities and more playtime.
Prerequisites
Age Requirement:
Student must be 4 on or before September 1st, 2025.
Toilet Training Requirement :
Student must be toilet trained by the beginning of the school year.
Schedule
Class Meets: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday
Students will hang up their backpacks and coats and sign in on a dry erase board. They will then meet their classmates and teachers on the carpet.
9:00-9:10 Arrival/Sign in
We will discuss snack, do show and tell and dress the Weather Bears.
9:10-9:25 Carpet/Circle Time
Free-Play: Children will be able to play in designated areas of their choice.
9:25-10:00 Discovery Time
Calendar, Alphabet letter bucket and letter writing practice on dry erase boards.
10:00-10:20 Second Carpet Time
All students will wash their hands and enjoy a snack brought in by the Student Of The Day.
10:20- 10:40 Snack
10:40-11:00 Small Group Activities
Teacher and Teacher Assistant facilitate small group learning which includes a variety of developmentally appropriate activities-math, writing, small motor skills, creative art and cooking.
Weather permitting we love to go outside; if the weather does not allow we will do a large group activity: parachute or a silly song.
11:00-11:15 Outside/Silly Carpet
Students not enrolled in the JK class will pack up their supplies and head home. Students in the JK class will participate in an activity.
11:15-11:30 Activity
Children will wash their hands, gather their lunches brought from home and enjoy lunch at the tables.
11:30-12:00 Lunch
Activities are available - and they vary. Writing/small-motor skills, large motor skills
12:00-12:15 Afternoon Work
Pre-reading activities, writing activities, math.
12:15-12:30 Cozy Carpet
12:30-1:00 Afternoon Discovery Time
Playtime. (Dress up, art center, etc.)
Letters on the parachutes, cakewalk with ABCs, clipboard cruising, small motor skills activities (Activity is done in a group - but the work is done individually).
1:00-1:30 Afternoon Small Group Activity
Weather permitting we love to go outside; if the weather does not allow we will do a large group activity: parachute or silly song.
1:30-1:45 Outside/Silly Carpet
Children will pack up their backpacks and return to Circle to review our day.
1:45-2:00 Pack Up
2:00 End of Session
Class is over.

Registration fee: There is a non-refundable registration fee of $100 per family in order to secure your child's spot on the class roster.

We offer a 15% discount off the lowest tuition amount for siblings who are attending within the same school calendar year.
